• From the dashboard, click on the purple “New Item” button under the top bar.
  • Click the ‘choose image’ and select the image from you files.
  • Click the ‘Select category’ dropdown to choose the item category.
  • Add an item Title, this will show under the image on your public page.
  • Add a description and internal notes.
  • Click ‘Save’ to log the item and return to the item screen.
  • Click ‘Save + Add’ to log that item and immediately return to the log an item page to log another.

When items are logged, they are not immediately posted. They will appear on the Queue. 

Items are Queued so managers can check over the item details before posting to ensure the information is correct, no sensitive information is being shared, and posting guidelines are followed.

To view Queued items, click ‘items’ and ‘queue’.

  • When in the queue, you can click through item by item to check the posting and click the blue ‘Publish’ button to post to the public page.
  • If a posting needs to be updated, type in the text box you want to edit and click ‘Update’ at the bottom. 
  • If an item is posted twice or no longer needs to be posted, those with delete permissions can click the ‘Delete’ button at the bottom. 
  • If the item needs to be archived before posting, you can click the ‘Archive’ button at the bottom. 
  • If you are sure all items were correctly logged and want to publish all, click the box next to ‘actions’ – this will select all items.
  • You can uncheck boxes if you do not want to post all the items.
  • Once the boxes of the items you want to post are checked, click the ‘Actions’ dropdown menu and click ‘Publish.’
  • The item(s) will now appear on your public facing lost and found page.

If you wish to update any of the item details – pull up the item and make the necessary changes. 

Click ‘Update’ and the details will be saved. 

Sometimes, photos can end up being too blurry, dark, or could be improved for clarity. 

That is why our software lets you update photos after they are logged.

  • Pull up the item.
  • Click the ‘Upload/Edit’ button. 
  • Choose the photo you wish to use from your files. 
  • Click ‘Update’ at the bottom.
